My Baby Lost A Tooth!

B (age 6) has been so sad that everyone else in her first grade class has lost a tooth but her. So imagine her excitement when she realized she finally had a loose tooth on the last day of school before winter break. Sure enough, with lots and lots of wiggling, the tooth came out on 12/26! Ironically enough, 6 years ago, on Christmas of 2001, when B was 6 months old, that was the first tooth that had come in. We had all joked that she got her first tooth for Christmas! Now she lost her first tooth for Christmas.

Being the sentimental girl that she is, B decided that she wanted to forego the Tooth Fairy's visit so that she could keep her tooth. She couldn't bear the thought of the TF taking it away forever. Daddy came up with a great idea! He sat down with B and they wrote a note to the TF, telling her to please leave the tooth. Sure enough, TF did come, and she left the tooth AND $5!

Wii Love Our Wii!

Wii have been having so much fun Wii-ing! B (age 6) has become a "pro" bowler in just 3 days! Did you know that if you get 3 strikes in a row, it's called a "Turkey"? You learn something new everyday! The Wii has been a great way for our family to "do" something together besides watch television.

We love messing around with the different characters - the "mii's". The girls have fun trying out different hair and eye styles, and re-naming each one. Currently, our "mii" family consists of Bill, Hot Mama, Francesca, and M n M. The names will change within the next 12 hours for sure!

I have secretly been snickering at my husband...late at night when the kids are sleeping, I sit down and surf the net on my laptop, while he puts on the Wii Boxing game. OMG, how funny. He actually breaks out a sweat and the competition is fierce. Last night I actually witnessed him swearing as he tried to knock down a chick named Elisa!!!! He had to keep re-starting because he couldn't get past her! He played for two hours straight, and had to take a shower before bed - mind you it was almost 2 a.m. by the time his head hit the pillow!

Money Well Spent!

My parents gave the girls a Little Tikes Bouncy House for Christmas. It was actually warm enough today (a balmy 51 degrees) for us to set it up in the backyard. The girls spent almost 2 hours bouncing around in it. That's the longest I've ever seen them attend to anything! They finally came inside because their toes were getting numb. This is the best thing since sliced bread! I can't wait till Spring and Summer, when they can be out there bouncing around every day! I just might be able to read a book from cover to cover in 2008!
